The Advanced Pro DJ Course is your all-in-one guide to becoming a skilled, creative, and successful DJ. Advanced DJing is the next level of DJ performance, where technical skill, creativity, and business knowledge come together. At this level, DJs don’t just play music—they create unforgettable experiences, adapt to any crowd, and establish themselves as professionals in the industry.
Being an advanced DJ means delivering unforgettable performances, which leads to word-of-mouth bookings and a strong DJ reputation. Plus, with the right branding, marketing, and networking skills (taught in our Entrepreneurial Skill Development module), you can attract gigs, secure contracts, and grow your career as a professional DJ.
This course is for anyone who wants to become a professional DJ—whether you're a beginner with no experience, an intermediate DJ looking to refine your skills, or an experienced DJ wanting to build a career. No prior experience or degree is required.
The course runs for 44 weeks, divided into four 10-week modules. Classes are once a week for 2 hours at our studio in Ferndale, Randburg, Johannesburg.
The course fee is R689 per month, covering all training, equipment, and resources. While the course is R689 per month, you can choose to pay for the full course upfront for convenience.
Unlike basic DJ courses, the Advanced Pro DJ Course covers technical skills, creative development, business strategies, and personal growth, ensuring you don’t just learn to mix but also build a successful career in DJing. Plus, it’s hands-on, structured, and taught by industry professionals.
Yes! With flexible class schedules and multiple time slots, you can fit the course into your work or school routine. Classes are available in multiple time slots: 8 AM, 10 AM, 12 PM, 2 PM, 4 PM, and 6 PM. You can choose the slot that best fits your schedule.
We understand that life happens! If you miss a class, you can schedule a make-up session or get a recap and additional support from our instructors to catch up.
Advanced DJ School is located in 288 Kent Ave, Ferndale, Randburg, Johannesburg, South Africa. While our primary training is in person, we also host seminars, workshops, and pop-up classes that may be available in different locations or online.
Since this is an in-person course, you’ll need to be in Johannesburg to attend. If you're outside the area, we recommend following our online resources while we work on launching an online version of the course.
While we provide all necessary equipment, having a laptop or computer with Rekordbox, Serato, Traktor, or Virtual DJ will help you practice at home and organize your music.
